Sažetak
Seasonal climate change of near-surface temperature and precipitation over Europe are assessed by comparing results from global and regional models. Dynamical downscaling is applied to two sets of integrations for present climate (1961-1990) and future climate scenario (2041-2070) using the regional climate model RegCM. Initial and boundary conditions were provided from the global circulation model EH5OM. The comparison of climate change between global and regional model is studied from climate averages and variability. Although the results for large scale are generally consistent among the models, the differences in surface climate show added value attained by dynamical downscaling.
