Sažetak
The potential sources of pollution in the Punat Bay, Krk Island, Adriatic, include the marina in Punat, fertilizers and herbicides used for agriculture in the coastal environment, as well as the waste disposal site located uphill of the town. Because of the karst region the input of freshwater from the coast to the seawater in the bay by infiltration of precipitation and groundwater can be significant. Freshwater admixture has a considerable influence on conductivity and salinity as well as the stable isotope composition of the baywater.
