Sažetak
Finally, completely new, revised and enlarged edition of this textbook, that some of us know since its last edition of 1996, is in our hands. It has 11 chapters and all have seen changes, being written by the evidence-based principle whenever possible, with the reference list at the end of each chapter. Cervical vertebra and its disorders and its causal relationship to orofacial pain have been given a completely new chapter. Temporomandibular joint are mentioned in many contexts in numerous chapters, since their connection to orofacial pain is well known. There is a glossary at the end of the book, and I would heartily recommend a list of terms that should be avoided, as well as a suggestion list of appropriate use. This guide, when in hands of a clinician, can prove a strong “ weapon” for proper diagnostics and differential diagnostics, assessment, and, finally, therapy of patients with acute and chronic orofacial pain.
