Sažetak
Threatening the high risk patients suffering of disseminated form of Langerhans cell histiocytosis is controversial. There are some official protocols in experimental phase. Few centres had included alpha-interferon in the salvage protocol. Threatening with VP-16 is observed with respect, because of triggering the second malignancy. Here we present three patients with disseminated form of LCH. The Langerhans cells were found in each patient with S-100 protein positive immunohistochemistry reaction. The Birbeck granules by electronic microscopy were confirmed. In each patient the positive CMV and EBV serological findings in high titters were confirmed. All the patients were treated with VP-16, 200 mg/m2 three consecutive days, with fifteen cycles at intervals of three weeks between each cycle, as recommended in protocol ICL 89. Maintenance therapy proceeded with  - IF 3000000 IU/m2 sc. daily (INTRON-R , Schering-Plough) one year, and in the same dose three times of week during three months. All three patients reached complete stabile remission. Reviewing very good experience in our three cases we suggest to evaluate the usefulness of those combination.
