Sažetak
The purpose of this study is to illustrate the reflections of Picens’ impact in the Kvarner Bay through the impact of jewellery and the specifics of its context in the folk costume of the local population, depending on the trends or universal phenomena, mediation or commerce. At the same time, besides the commercial activities, there were numerous intellectual relations between communities and within a wider cultural circle that were not discussed in this article. One thing is certain – these relations were not at all simple or linear, but on the contrary, very complex and dynamic, and conducted according to hierarchical social principles of their times.
