Sažetak
This article describes Highway Electronic Toll Collection (HETC), used technologies and interoperability issues. The RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology is used as a foundation for HETC systems user identification. The unique HETC standards are not defined yet so the problem of HETC systems interoperability related to vehicle class definition is still unresolved issue. The problem of interoperability is emerging with the implementation of different tolling models in neighbouring countries. There is a need to define the structure of an adaptable system that can be used for toll calculation based on different business solutions. Agent technology and multiagent system is proposed to deal with the problem emerged. The method proposed results in clear specification and realisation of interoperable HETC.
