Sažetak
The first volume of IKON deals with different subjects concerning Christological themes in order to discuss to what extent did the visual art follow textual models, in what degree did the illustrated word convey symbolic meaning and how did the image comprehend and conform to the particular theological learning and disputes throughout the history of the Church. Special attention was directed toward earlier, formative periods of Christian iconography, medieval iconography, post- Tridentine formations and Franciscan influence on the development of special devotions within Christological cycle, as well as to the modern interpretation of the conventional subjects within contemporary art.
