Sažetak
There is a specific dynamic at work in today’ s Europe, where in the allegedly democratic West, notions such as tolerance, democracy and freedom of speech are re-examined and re-defined in the most violent ways, and multiculturalism may be on the verge of becoming a myth, whereas in South-Eastern Europe, that is, the Balkans, it may be on the verge of becoming reality. The essays in this special issues engage with themes that offer some untold perspectives on Balkan cinema.
