The Catholic Church has problems with totalitarian ideologies and regime, because they fail to respect human dignity and are contrary to basic tenets of Christianity. That was also the case with the Catholic Church in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which opposed fascism, ustašism, and communism.
