Sažetak
The distributive trade is an important sector in every national economy. In Croatia in past decade, due to increased process of internationalization, this sector is restructuring and becoming more competitive. Therefore, companies in the sector are striving to find new models for value creation. In recent literature knowledge is stated to be the key economic resource that improves utilization of traditional economic resources (work, land and capital). In this paper the interrelation between knowledge usage and value creation is discussed on the basis of results of the empirical research conducted on the sample of Croatian companies in the distributive trades sector.
