Sažetak
In this study, the age-dependent changes of the basal levels and X-radiation-induced levels of apoptosis were determined in parallel with the age-dependent changes of the basal levels and X-radiation-induced levels of DNA single-strand breaks in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC).DNA damage was analysed using Fast Micromethod and apoptosis was determined using Cell Death Detection ELISA. The results show that there is no correlation between the levels of irradiation-induced apoptosis and DNA single.strand breaks in individuals of different age.
