Sažetak
The present invention provides a process for the production of optically enriched tertiary alcohols by means of halohydrin dehalogenase catalysed kinetic resolution of 2, 2-disubstituted epoxides. Enzyme from Agrobacterium radiobacter strain AD1 catalyses ring opening of epoxides with cyanide and azide with excellent enantioselectivity (E >200) and gives access to various enantiopure b-substituted tertiary alcohols (>99% ee).
