Sažetak
Wood processing and furniture manufacture in the Republic of Croatia has been developed on high quality forest raw material and as such, it represents an important economic segment of the country. The analysis of the Croatian wood and wood products market has shown that compared to import, export growth is more progressive. These analyses of forest and wood sector - trade, export, import, production and consumption of forest and wood products can contribute to the detection of problems and weaknesses in the industry, and give future recommendations and solutions for improvement in their future work. The aim of this paper is to define import, export and consumption trends of forest and wood product in the last few years. Considering the quality of the Croatian raw material, the tradition of wood consumption may be expected.
