Sažetak
Ser/Thr like kinase from the marine sponge Suberites domuncula, termed STE20Sub has been cloned and its aminoacid structure characterized. The catalytic domain is most homologous to STE20 and other STE20 like kinases, and the whole molecule shows the highest homology (similarity) to Krs-1,2 and Mst-1,2 which are human stress responsive kinases. Different levels of kinase expression are expected in sponges under the influence of different environmental contaminats in relation to nonstressed sponges.
