Sažetak
Victimology gives rise to the creation of a new complex approach to the human victimization by medicine. By the technical advancement of medicine, the legal, social, and moral responsibility of the physician is dramatized especially in connection with therapeutic risk, human experimentation, artificial prolongation of life, transplantation of organs and genetic engineering. The relevant operation should be differentiated not merely from the standpoint of their usefulness and the risk involved, but also from the standpoint of ethical values, human rights and human dignity so as to exclude the possibility of manipulation and victimization of people. The risk of arbitrariness, discrimination and mistakes has grown from a number of procedural inadequacies. Society has a right to impose limits upon the medical profession that leave no room for arbitrariness and reduce incompetence, malpractice, and medical errors. Comparative international data on the abuse of medicine, on medical malpractice and medical victimizations will be presented.
