Sažetak
A fever accompanied by a cough, loss of body weight, diarrhea and sudden death are some of the symptoms characteristic for both porcine circovirus disease and classical swine fever, two very important but legally extremely different swine diseases. In this research we collected eight samples of blood from pigs with symptoms characteristic of classical swine fever. Each sample was subjected to an Enzyme‐ Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA) and polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The polymerase chain reaction confirmed only the presence of PCV2 in the tested samples. The results of this study again emphasize the difficulty in diagnosing classical swine plague on the basis of the clinical picture. 419.
