Sažetak
The legal position of the patient is established and protected on the basis of different instruments. Today an increasing number of legal orders opt to regulate patient rights and, consequently, there are a number of pieces of legislation that regulate this area of health law. However, even though the position of patients can be regulated by means of specific legislation on patient rights it should not be neglected that the legal position of patients can be also governed by legislation whose primary focus are not patients. A good example for this is consumer protection legislation.
