Sažetak
The aim of the study is to confirm the binding mode and obtain detailed structural information of cationic porphyrins to DNA. For combined NMR investigations and complementary quantum mechanical calculations, model compounds have been selected to investigate the DNA-porphyrin interaction. After preliminary investigations using circular dichroism spectroscopy, indicated that the binding mode is by intercalation, 1H-31P-ct-NOESY[1] and 1H-31P-ct-COSY[2] NMR were tested to determine the 1H3´-31P Couplings in a duplex d(GCGCGC)2 and a d(GCGCGC)2/TMPyP complexes.
