Sažetak
Designed to improve the process of the inspections of dams, ship hulls, and other surfaces, the Laboratory for Underwater Systems at the University of Zagreb has developed a two-point laser based distance keeping module. The module itself consists of a small box and the accompanying software, which is easily attached to the VideoRay and powered from the ROV. The software gives the operator information on current distance of the ROV from a plane-like object in front of the vehicle. A distance keeping autopilot enables the user easier operations on inspection missions.
