Sažetak
The low-frequency Raman spectra of orthoterphenyl and perdeuterated orthoterphenyl crystals and melts were studied in a temperature range from 10 to 335 K.
Attention was devoted particularly to the low-frequency part of the spectrum (10200 cm(-1)). Several low-frequency intramolecular modes with frequencies
below 150 cm(-1) were clearly observed in the orthoterphenyl melt. The implication of the present results on the existing empirical models of the liquid-glass
transition in orthoterphenyl is discussed.
