Sažetak
Sensibility to meteorological conditions – meteorosensibility is relative and varies to the climate and individual adaptability. The aim of our investigation has been to determine the presence and characteristic of the meteorosensibility among the population of the South Croatia. Two hundred healthy examinees (90 i.e. /45%/ males and 110 i.e. /55%/ females) as well as 200 coronary patients (136 i.e. /68%/ males and 64 i.e. /32%/ females) have been polled. The mean age was 48+9.2 years in the healthy group, and 58+11 years in the group of coronary patients. The total frequency of symptoms in coronary patients was 59% greater than in the healthy group (p<0.001). Both groups have showed increased symptoms in the days of the south wind compared with the days of the nord east wind or days with calm weather (p<0.001). There was a markedly increased meteorosensibility in females in the healthy group, while in the group of coronary artery patients there was no significant difference between the sexes. In the days of the south wind headache (44%) and malaise (53%) are dominant in the group of healthy persons, while coronary patients most frequently complain of retrosternal pressure (58%) and arrhythmia (22%). Nearly all examinees in both groups (89% of healthy persons, 95% of coronary patients) associate the onset of deterioration of symptoms with the atmospheric conditions, leading us to the conclusion that meteorosensibility plays a significant role in the population of the South Croatia.
