Sažetak
The results of the anthropometric measurements obtained within the scope of the compound technological project Croatian Anthropometric System are used in different fields of human activities. Body measurements are necessary for medical investigations, anthropological investigations, ergonomic design of workplaces, functional design of interior and public buildings and improvement of different industries (textile, automotive, wood-processing etc.) whose products enhance the quality of living by adapting to an individual. Based on the use of the results of body dimensions, market positioning is facilitated as well as export position of the industry in Europe and around the world. Starting from the human being as a final consumer and tracking his needs, the level of high quality product success is provided. Body dimensions are changed because of environmental effects, diet, climatic changes and the like ; as a consequence it is necessary to conduct new anthropometric measurements every 10 to 15 years.
