Sažetak
The ergo assessment factor of the action of traffic noise on the inland waterway navigation crews is one of the dominant factors in ergo assessment on inland waterways. The authors of this paper have researched the assumption that traffic noise reduces the reliability of ship operators which makes it difficult to operate a composition of vessels and reduces the traffic flow safety, which is the principle of cognitive ergo assessment. Before analyzing how traffic noise acts on the crew, it is necessary to analyze the causes of its occurrence on the vessels, and what is the interval of exposure of the crew depending on the navigation hours per day stipulated by valid regulations, which is a behaviouristic approach to research. Recent ergo assessment of the impact of noise on the crew in inland waterway navigation understands the supplementation of the behaviouristic by cognitive ergo assessment, since technical and technological predispositions cause noise, but do not answer the question regarding how noise acts on the perception and psycho-motoric status of the participants in adequate traffic situation in water transport. The connections among several concurrent factors of ergo assessment have to be studied. The efficient application of corrected research methodology understands a combination of several scientific methods, where the methods of interviewing the typical representative from the target group and surveying of the target group represent just some of the applied methods in the introductory part of research.
