Sažetak
In this paper the nonlinear analysis of concrete gravity dams due to earthquake ground motion, including hydrodynamic interaction, is presented. The analysis has been based on the substructure concept. The finite element discretization is employes. Water is assumed to be linear compressible and its internal viscosity is neglible. The motion of the water is described in Eulerian system and the motion of the solid is described in Lagrangian system. The elastic, elasto-plastic and elasto-viscoplastic material model for the dam-foundation system is employed. For the illustration, the dam-water-foundation system is analysed for simple harmonic base excitation.
