Sažetak
The shrinkage was tested on more than 150 specimens, and creep on more than 80 specimens. Experimental results were compared with values predicted according to the model defined in Eurocode 2 (EC 2). These results point to deficiencies of the mentioned Eurocode 2 model, especially in cases when the high strength concrete was used. According to the shrinkage and creep prediction models proposed in Eurocode 2, the shrinkage and creep of concrete specimens of similar central radius, made of similar type of cement, cured under similar conditions and for a similar period of time, are dependent on compressive strength only. Ac-cording to this code, the shrinkage and creep levels are higher in case of specimens with lower strength. This assumption is not fully confirmed by experimental data. This study shows in which way the shrinkage and creep prediction models given in Eurocode 2 can be improved.
