Sažetak
Traditional folk costumes are one of the most distinguishable features of each people. The elegance and wealth of Slavonian folk costumes are an inexhaustible source of inspiration. They arouse imagination and creativity, enabling the return of hand woven fabrics marked by rich tradition. These valuable unique fabrics confirm the diversity of weaving techniques and materials, but above all the rules upheld by centuries-old tradition, to which the people strictly adhered, and deviations from them were rare. Bringing this rich tradition closer to modern lifestyle is made possible by using the elements of ethno cultural heritage as an inspiration for contemporary creativity which is becoming more and more present in contemporary fashion trends and haute couture with the aim of preserving cultural identity.
