Sažetak
The paper focuses on recent advances and experiences in the design and testing of power transformers in Koncar Power Transformers (KPT). Two fields will be considered in particular - stray losses and short circuit capability. Regarding stray losses, new 3D electromagnetic software capabilities will be presented. Implementation of the results from the 3D software during design stage as well as implementation of newly developed in-house programs will be discussed. Programs developed in-house have been used for design of transformers' short-circuit capability. A list of short-circuit tested transformers will be presented that proves KPT design and technology.
