Sažetak
This paper discusses about extreme and normal washing conditions monitored by secondary washing effects. The cotton fabrics were processed in the component washing bath containing ionic surfactants, enzymes, bleaches and low amount of builder. The secondary effects were evaluated by chemical and mechanical damage, whiteness, tint deviation in dependence of different bleaches as well as presence of iron ions in the washing bath and in cotton fabrics. The ion exchange properties of cellulose in contact with metal ions are well known and the most convenient identification methodology are spectroscopic methods. In this study iron ions in cotton fabric are detected and determined by reagent Ferrospectral&reg ; as spectrophotometric reagent. This method was shown efficient for continuous monitoring of unwanted effects of inappropriate concentration of iron ions in washing bath and cotton fabrics.
