Sažetak
This paper deals with interface phenomena of bleached cotton woven fabric treated with tribomechanical activated natural zeolite. Interface phenomena happen between liquid and solid phase, like water solution and textile material, resulting in change of textile material surface state. Electrokinetic phenomena, as zeta potential and specific amount of surface charge, characterize electric charge of textile material. Recent results indicate that tribomechanical activated natural zeolite shows the significant changes regarding particle size, surface characteristics, electrostatic charge and ion exchange capacity. During production of nanoparticles, zeolites receive high portion of kinetic energy resulting in high potential energy and high negative zeta potential, useful for human cell activation. Therefore, the influence of treatments with different concentrations of zeolite to fabric interface phenomena was investigated throughout the change of fabric zeta potential, Isoelectric Point, Point of Zero Charge, and specific amount of surface charge. Hydrophilicity of cotton fabrics was determined by vertical test method, while structural contact angle and pore volume distribution (PVD) were measured using TRI-Autoporosimeter.
