Sažetak
Spectrometry in-vitro laboratory test methods are frequently used to assess the fabrics UV protective effectiveness to ultraviolet radiation. The differences of the ultraviolet protection factor determined between laboratories can become important because the questionable repeatability of interlaboratory trial. For the determination of fabrics UV protective properties measurement precision, four undyed cotton and three white polyester woven fabrics of various construction characteristics and levels of UV protection were examined in three laboratories. UV protective effectiveness of tested fabrics were evaluated according to AS/NZS 4399:1996 and HRN EN 13758-1:2003 using Varian Cary 50 UV/VIS, PerkinElmer Lambda 800 UV/VIS and PerkinElmer Lambda 950 UV/VIS/NIR spectrometers with integrating sphere. It has been confirmed that different standardized methods applied on same spectrometer have minimal impact on obtained results. Classification and evaluation of UV protective effectiveness, especially of high UV protective fabrics, can become questionable due to significant differences between results obtained on spectrometers of different producers.
