Sažetak
This paper deals with developments of technology through historical perspective. This stand point allow us to monitor long term processes of technology development and its influence on economic development of countries in terms of technology leadership, technology gap and catch-up process. The historical perspective taken in this paper starts with the First Industrial Revolution as a breaking point and ends with the present days. This focus is taken due to severity of change in this period in terms of growth and development of nations.
