Sažetak
The paper deals with some aspects of flight safety due to introduction of new automated aircraft control systems, such as fly-by-wire, onboard loadable software, automated protection in the engine and the brakes, and the future air navigation and communication systems. Fly-by-wire control system protects the aircraft against stall and allows the pilot to get the maximum available perfomance, while minimizing risk of over-stressing the aircraft, The loadable software allows operators to change the configuration of aircraft systems without physically modifying or replacing hardware components. Automated protection in the engine and brakes ensures the maximum perfomance in special situations during take-off and landing. New navigation and communication systems allow pilots to communicate with the air traffic control by monitors, not only audible, in heavily traffic congestioned environment.
