Sažetak
A mini-review on the role of indole-3-ethanol (tryptophol) in the metabolism of microorganisms, fungi, and higher plants. Its biogenetic relationship to the growth hormone (auxin), indole-3-acetic acid is emphasized, suggesting a function as a 'reserve auxin' for short- and long-term storage.
