Sažetak
Aging causes gradual loss of natural blood vessel elasticity. Some risk factors such as raised lood pressure are known to accelerate this process by bringing imbalance into healthy aging process. Previous studies have shown positive correlation between reduced elasticity and incidence of stroke and other vascular diseases. The aim of our study was to show the correlation between changes in carotid arterial stiffness and five categories of systolic blood pressure.
