Sažetak
As an introduction to reliability assessment of a power system, the paper deals with Markov state-space model of power system reliability components, used in this analysis, as well as with a state enu-meration approach when calculating reliability indices described afterwards. COMREL (COMposite RELi-ability) computer program is used for all computations. In addition, the real power system of eastern Croatia has been simulated to obtain information on capability of this war devastated power system to supply its users with or without interconnections to neighboring areas in Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The results indicate some, but still insufficient, improvements in supplying consumers, and could recommend the recon-structive operations needed for normalization of power supplying when operating without interconnective ad-ditional supplying from neighboring areas.
