Sažetak
The objective of the present paper is to show some preliminary results of sedimentological and geomorphological study of Sv. Rok Cavern. The cavern was discovered in April, 2003 during the road construction in "Sveti Rok" tunnel (southern Velebit) and was explored in total length of 1137 meters. Sediments deposited within the cavern were collected and analyzed. The cavern is situated within Jurassic limestone, and formed by the tectonic movements much later. The base of the cavern is filled with bedrock breakdown blocks covered with fine grained sediments. Sediment analysis revealed sediment provenance.
