Sažetak
Istra with it bigger part is an peninsula on the north-east side of the Adriatic, 2.880 km2 large area. Till the last fourthy years, when tourism started to develop, it was mainly an agricultural area. The Institute of Agriculture and Tourism and The Agricultural High school had given a great contribution to agricultural development. There both in Poreč and over hundred years were one totality. The Institute was founded in 1875., the School in 1882. Up to nowdays these are very important institutions, because agriculture is a main stream of development in Croatia. Istria became more developed and touristicly most developed County in Croatia
