Sažetak
An array of parallel wires that behaves as a plasma-like material was originally introduced long time ago. Recent theoretical study showed that spatial dispersion can dramatically influence the properties of wire media if there is a component of the wave vector parallel to the wires and therefore, the simple Drude dispersion model is not valid any more. Although this analysis appears to be correct, it is interesting that the spatial dispersion has not been noted in some experimental studies published so far. Here, we report an initial experimental attempt toward understanding of this issue.
