Sažetak
The aim of the study was to investigate the levels of serum antiinflammatory factors IL-6, CRP and TNF-alpha in relation to the type of depression in patients affected by major depressive disorder. Statistically significant difference in level of IL-6 was found between melancholic and non-melancholic group of patients with depression, and also significalnty lower level of IL-6 was found in melancholic subtype of depression than in healthy controls.
