Sažetak
The goals of this presentation are: to define connections between the social and economic status and secondary education as pre-entry factors determining results achieved in higher education (HE) ; to analyze importance of information and communications technology (ICT) with focus on underrepresented groups of students. Pedagogical implications of the research are: the need to familiarize the students with the aims and outcomes of courses, the need to redefined role of the teachers in ICT supported learning environment and developing meta-skills and “ learning to learn” strategies.
