Sažetak
Modern worldwide trends in production of panels for furniture are oriented towards producing of ecological materials, considering formaldehyde emission, what has been resulted in decreasing of mechanical properties and stability of boards. New materials and procedures have been developed for improving of panels. MDF panels are used more in furniture production, and besides the application of OSB panels in construction work also the methods have been developed for wood surface finishing and use of panels as decoration. Therefore it is necessary to improve system of quality control by means of personnel education, introducing international standards and organising the laboratory according to the Croatian standard HRN EN 45001. Results of quality control shows that the system of wood based panel quality control is of the highest importance for protection of furniture producers and buyers.
