Sažetak
This paper presents problems that occur in the southern part of Croatia on the slopes of Velebit Mountain near the Adriatic Sea. That is the region with extreme wind loading which corresponds to the measured values of wind speed in that region. Wind bora directly influences motorway service in such a manner that can cause vehicle’ s instability and overturning. This is not acceptable from the point of neither traffic safety or the economic penalty of closing the motorway section. This paper will present complex problem and experiences gained in scientific project which deals with influence of strong wind on traffic and structures.
