Sažetak
Post-analyses of operation events in some thermal power plants of Croatian power system show that already build-in high-speed transfer units didn"t operate well at certain conditions to keep auxiliary plant in service. Arranged testing in laboratory and real conditions have shown that those units pass functional tests, but cannot execute high-speed synchronous transfer because of long circuit breaker switching time. A new conception of high-speed transfer unit is suggested, based on mathematical model of service busses residual voltage, which overcame breaker switching time problems using DSP processor for on-line parameter estimation and real-time voltage behavior prediction.
