Sažetak
In the rather small region where Velebit Mountain meets Adriatic coast strong wind bora blows and influences traffic regimen on the newly built motorway route passing through this part of the country. So far measurements of wind speed have been made and they have shown the most endangered locations along the motorway. Parallel to the measurements numerical simulation of the airflow on the Vucipolje location which is the most complex location to protect was done. As a part of this simulation several types of protecting structures were analyzed. The choice of optimal solution is discussed.
