Sažetak
The stroke encompasses a heterogenous group of cerebrovascular disorders that range from thromboembolic events and aneurysm subarachnoid hemorrhage to sinovenous occlusion. Conventional angiography (digital subtraction angiography - DSA) as well as computed tomography and magnetic resonance angiography (CTA, MRA) are used to help determine which stroke patients are suitable candidates for emergency thrombolysis. On the other hand, precise delination of cerbral aneurysm or vascular malformation as well as demonstration of collateral blood flow (circle of Willis, leptomeningeal and dural collaterals, and extra-to intracranial anastomoses) by DSA is a prerequisite for safe surgical or neuro or radiologic interventional procedures.
