Sažetak
Sewing needle penetration forces in the process of knitwear sewing can be rather precisely measured employing a contemporary measuring system for this purpose. Cotton knitted fabric samples, designated 20, habitually used for men's ladies' and children underwear are used to investigate the sewing needle penetration force. Knowledge of the penetration forces can make practical tasks of a technologist easier, as it indicates the correct measures to be undertaken in the case of knitted loop damages. Influential factors can thus be varied and optimized, with the aim of producing high quality knitted garments.
