Sažetak
Characteristics of suspended load transport occurrence and dynamics belong among the most variable and least studied hydrological phenomena. This paper describes a comparison of the suspended load transport occurrence and dynamics in several characteristic cross-sections in Croatia with long-term data series. The cross-section in Slavonski Brod on the Sava River and the cross-section in Botovo on the Drava River are representative of the suspended load transport in major rivers, and the cross-sections in Hrvatsko on the Kupa River, Kupljenovo on the Krapina River and Dubravica on the Pazinčica River are typical for suspended load transport in minor streams. The analyses carried out on the sections include characteristic daily suspended load concentrations and total daily, monthly and annual suspended load transport. Annual changes were analyzed of the said characteristic parameters of suspended load, along with their trends, suspended load frequency curves, suspended load transport duration curves, and their distribution within a year. The obtained results and determined changes have been analyzed considering possible anthropogenic impacts on the load transport occurrence and dynamics.
