Sažetak
Sporadic acute gastroenteritis was studied prospectively in a military in the period of 13 months. Disease developed in 109 soldiers and 76 asymptomatic control soldiers were included in the study. Rotaviruses were detected in 11, 0% cases, Salmonella in 9, 17%, Shigella in 2, 75% and Camplylobacter jejuni in 9, 91%. It has concluded that rotaviruses are cause significant morbidity in soldiers with sporadic acute gastroenteritis.
