Sažetak
Small area load forecasting is a fundamental part of electric distribution system planning. Load growth trending is a simple and computationally undemanding forecast procedure, but often produces unsatisfactory results. Load growth simulations are more accurate, but demand a great deal of input data and more computer and human resources. This paper discuses add-in algorithms to load growth trending, which improve the forecast results and at the same time try to keep the low demand on input data and resources. An example of load growth forecasting is presented using a combined multiple regression curve fitting and cluster template matching trending method.
