Sažetak
When magnesim alloys are machined with HSS and carbide tools at high cutting speed (> 550 m/min) , the workpiece material may build up on the flank surface of the tool. This phenomenon causes a severe deterioration of the surface finish and sharp increase in tool forces. In many machining operations this is a limiting factor with respect to rising the cutting speed which is desirable for productivity reasons.
